The show was heavily biased towards BMW, Audi and Volkswagen which
all had several awards within their own separate classes. Saab was to
share a class with Volvo, Peugeot and Lotus with one Best in Class
award.

Convertible, Rudy Cavazos his 2005 9-3 Aero, Ed Cardozo his 2005 9-3
2007 9-3 Aero Convertible.
Aero Convertible, Mike Becker his 2006 9-5 Sport and Jacek Walasek a
2007 9-3 Aero Convertible.

Everyone was very pleased with the turnout and fellow club members
Becky Cook, Doug Wood and Eric Wood stopped by to lend their support.
Gil Reyes and the team at Performance Saab generously underwrote the
clubs sponsorship of the event and provided display vehicles and a tent
for the clubs use. The clubs goal of having one of the largest presences
at the event paid off. Only BMW and Volkswagen had more entries. Saab
surpassed Audi (6), Volvo (2), Mercedes (3), Ferrari (2), Porsche (4), Mini
(4) and Lamborghini (2).

Sadly enough our Saabs lost out to a fairly stock red Volvo S60R whose
only modification seemed to be an overabundance of decals ALL over the
body. Who would have thought that stickers were such a crucial part of
the competition?

Well, now we know for next year…
